Leah's gentle guidance allows you to embody your own unique groove and experience flow and emotional expression. This helps to enhance confidence, well-being, and happiness.
Embodied Groove combines Leah's training as a Nia movement teacher with her graduate education in Somatic Psychology and Mind-Body Medicine as well as advanced training in Embodiment and years of moving freely to live music.
The incorporation of mindfulness helps encode the benefits of live music and movement into your brain for lasting positive change.
Embodied Groove incorporates elements of Mindfulness such as Intention, Body Awareness, and Compassion. These practices have been scientifically proven to create lasting positive change.
Embodied Groove helps increase community connection, playfulness, and emotional expression to fill and uplift your spirit!
Embodied Groove combined with live music is the soul medicine we crave. Live music is often used for release, connection, and recharge. Live music combined with movement allows you to shake off the stress of life and invigorate your spirit with the emotions of love, connection, and gratitude to last long after the show or festival is over.
Healing and Growth: Enhancing the medicine of live music by helping fans liberate their minds and bodies while connecting with emotions of love, surrender, awe, and gratitude.
Integrative Medicine: Teaching people to allow music to flow through them, loosening rigidity, liberating their bodies, healing somatically held trauma, and releasing unwanted somatic holding patterns.
Enhancing Connection: We have been isolated for too long! Embodied Groove enhances connection to others in an easy and fun way by offering the opportunity to move around the space and move and groove together.
In addition, live music created in the moment with movement facilitated by Dr. Leah Taylor connects musicians and audiences together through group flow that helps to enhance the vibe of the show!
Over the last few months, I have been doing Embodied Groove live from the Embodied Groove Lounge (aka my living room) using recorded music similar to what is created live in the moment. New events will be added as they are scheduled.
You can find many of these on our YouTube channel. Don't forget to subscribe to be notified of new videos!
While we can't do Embodied Groove in the usual way for now, I have made sure it includes all the aspects of live music you may be missing most:
Personal Expression
Movement
Releasing what needs to be released
Connecting with positive emotion and flow
